Urban garden, SW11

As you look out of full width bi-folding doors the garden seems an extension of the kitchen. Our brief was to design a garden, with a ‘girly feel’ that looked good and had flowers all year.

A bold structure of buxus balls of various height ensure all round interest and contrast with the soft perennial planting, with bulbs providing all season interest.

The staggered terrace edge leads you to a bench at the back of the garden where the raised beds and taller planting provide a feeling of seclusion.

The natural stone, brick and wood are soft and resting. A soft pebble edge softens the line between the paving and the planting.

Architectural planters add further structure and lighting effects ensure interest at night.
